Our Pastors are an important part of the body of Christ and to Acts Christian Church.
They are connected to the Lord and able to do work of ministry.
They are a gift from God to equip His people to grow in their knowledge of God and in their usefulness in His kingdom. Thank the Lord for our Pastors.
The first amongst those named as Evangelist’s, according to ACTS 6 said… “It is not desirable for us to neglect the word of God to serve tables.
Therefore, brethren, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, which we may put in charge of this task.”
Those chosen are identified as The First Deacon’s whose primary role was to serve the Body of Christ – Service which was not categorised but simply noted as “serve”.
We are always reminded that Jesus came as a servant, so the Deacons of ACTS have a blueprint to follow.
The Deacons of Acts comprises of 7 members. Deacon Jacqueline, Deacon Clive, Deacon Delroy, Deacon Paulina, Deacon Vivien, Deacon Jean, and Deacon Paul.
Some have been long-standing Deacons whilst others have recently been identified as having the gift of servitude and have been ordained as Deacons.
Deacons of Acts are primarily attached to the Bishop of the House though they are accountable to the Senior Pastor.
They are on hand to assist with serving the fellowship with excellence in whatever capacity is required whether it be picking and dropping off members, assisting in general church housekeeping, counting of tithes & offerings, visiting and praying for the sick to name just a few things.
They are faithful and reliable for this reason and strive to be approachable and humble.
One of the main responsibilities for the Deacons at ACTS is to maintain their spiritual growth by ensuring they attend fellowship meetings including Bible studies.
This is most essential as the Deacons have received the responsibility of leading the Fellowship into the sharing of The Holy Communion.
The Word declares the Deacons will receive mysteries of the faith. This can only be achieved as their knowledge of The Word of God increases.
Our men’s department enjoys breakfast sessions, prayer meetings, conference calls, and the interactive group talk.
It all leads to ongoing therapy to develop and encourage our men. Our witness is important, so our development is paramount.
Women’s Saturday Morning Prayer
The women of Acts meet at ACTS Community Centre for prayer on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 8 am-9 am, just 1 hour of prayer!
Morning prayers are a great way to focus and ask God for strength and peace for the day.
We encourage the women to attend the prayer session which will equip them to live an enriched life, abiding in Christ and a life of purpose.
We also have a women event coordinator who is responsible for planning women’s social events, such as film night, Women support group discussion and women seminar.
Children and Young People
Our Sunday School is the reaching, teaching, winning and caring arm of the Church.
When your little ones go to Sunday school, they will find the age-appropriate Bible teaching their young minds are so eager to absorb.
Their teachers can shape the lessons to meet the comprehension level and interest of any age.
Many Sunday school instructors will incorporate fun activities, like crafts and skits, into the lesson so your children will be able to remember them.
